MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY OF MEASLES FROM 21 MARCH 2021 TO 20 MARCH 2022 IN MIRWAIS REGIONAL HOSPITAL PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT KANDAHAR AFGHANISTAN

Background: Objectives: To study the demographic profile and mortality morbidity of measles, as well outcome measles in children who were admitted to pediatric department Mirwais regional Hospital, Kandahar Afghanistan from 2021 2022. Methodology: This cross-sectional was conducted Regional hospital ward The diagnosis based on clinical features, data all patients 1month 15 years, MRH 21 march 20 March 2022, compiled analyzed Medical Records each case at Hospital. Information obtained medical record patient file coded entered into computer software. After that, with SPSS version 22. 0. Results: Total 16792 during period among them 1865 confirmed measles. Average Rate found 11.1% hospitalized children. There 1050 (56.30%) male 815 (43.7%) female a ratio 1.28:1. Among age onset <6 months 38(2%), 6-12 633(33.94%),13-60 1028(55.12%) 61-120 137(7.34%) 29(1.55%) above 120months .the majority group between one year up 5years old. Prevalence 11.1 % Which has clearly high incidence 2022 lower cases 2021. fatality diagnosed 118(6.32%) (2021 2022) which shows cleared increase we also our more spring winter season N=(621-579),from 2022).Conclusion: prevalence higher form age. Although boys affected by than girls, Majority developed rural urban areas
